Vendor's Stage & Drumming

Drumming

This year we will feature workshops by David Wilkins and Ric McKenzie with support from Joe Start and the Salem Community Drum Circle!

Friday evening will close with free-form dancing, a chance to meet the other members and an open drum circle following the Opening Ritual at 7pm.  Bring your drums, rattles, bells and best moves to warm up for Saturday's main event!

Mystic Masquerade Ball

Costumes, Deanna the DJ, masks, dancing, drumming and some of the greatest people on the planet to share it all with!

We will be setting the mood by turning out the lights and relying on all the cool lights that our family can bring!  Have a great lava lamp, neon flamingo, mirror ball or glowing star?  Bring them along to turn the Lodge into a magickal room of dancing lights to match our beautiful costumes, dancing rhythms and flying spirits!!

Have an idea for music you would like to hear while the drummers take a break?  E-mail your suggestions to Deanna

Vendor's Stage

This year we have the opportunity to showcase more of our local talent by offering 50 minute performance spots on the stage located in the Vendor's area!  Performances must be acoustic and due to space limitations we are requesting that groups have four or fewer members. A space will be available to offer cd's for sale during your performance and to pass out any flyers or gather information for future mailings.

Drumwench Wendy is booking performers now and the slots are filling up fast!

Shift: Acoustic rock covers and original music.
Members:  Damon Nelson, Dan Bodi, Nick Madderom and Wes Fisher.

Martyrs of Sound: Luscious, ethereal, luminous.  Martyrs of Sound use organic instrumentation and vocals to create a blissful, trance-like sound-scape.
Members:  Steve Koc and Sara Wiseman

Galen Fous: I was a player for 22 years until 1990, I composed music that was all original, unique in style lyrical, emotive and with a strong lyrical foundation.  My group then was called 'Geo'.  We were a regular at the popular Eugene Celebration Jazz Stage, Art in th Vineyard, Sister City exchange banquets and many other local venues.  I was one of the first Oregon musicians, along with John Doan, to be invited to Fujian China as a part of a cultural exchange in the late 1980's.  My youngest son, Cam (that's him next to me on the profile pic on jamwave.com) started playing a few years back and nagged me for over a year to start playing again as well.  A surprising flood of new music has poured out since then and I now have about 50 new songs.  This new music is dedicated to my son, Cam, it was thru his persistant encouragement that I have this music to present to you.  Bless you Cam.

All in Perspective:  A three piece acoustic folk rock originals featuring amazing stand-up bass work, clear vocals and a beat that begs you to move.
Members: Paul Marche, Matt Henricksen, Stephanie Cannon and Dan Meloy.

Salem Community Drum Circle:
This group plays through out the Willamette Valley area sharing and creating rhythms, songs, comradery and fostering the appreciation of hand-drumming every where they go!
Members: Ric McKenzie, Joseph E. Start, Charles, Jeffrey, Thomas Owen, Wendy L. Graves, Sydney MacMillan, Sarah Perdue (Secretary), Loretta MacMillan, Travis N. Tuttle, Sharon M. Blasing and Patrick Gilligan
